CrossFit Buntingford Raises over £500 for the SOFT UK charity (support of families with children affected with Trisomy 13 and 18) On the 5th September, The CrossFit Buntingford community came together to do their inaugural Watermill Games. 13 Teams (same sex pairs) competed for the bragging rights of Watermill Games Champions.
Entries from Corps Fitness and Buntingford Runners joined the fun. We had a ball! The whole day was taken up with challenges such as the sandbag run, Land Rover push, Sledge pull and Rowing challenge. Then there was a ski off for the finals (top two teams in both categories. The competition was made up of low skill hard work workouts that were accessible to all abilities. We followed up with a BBQ afterwards.
The community spirit that came together for this fundraiser was something to behold. We’ve been blessed with a great community since opening and its still growing as we make friends across other groups in the town. The honour’s went to Sarah Lidsmith PT and Michelle Cunningham from Corps fitness Leigh Nolan and Jack Oetting (alias Justin Maderos) of CrossFit Buntingford. Fancy joining us next year?
Email mick@crossfitbuntingford.co.uk to get on our mailing list. It will be different stuff next year (possibly mixed teams of 4) but always accessible to all! The fun is guaranteed! A big thank you to our friends from Corps Fitness and Buntingford Runners for their support and also CSK Automotive for lending us the vehicle to push. £500 raised not a bad afternoons work.
